A simple borehole has transformed life for the villagers of Chamuka in Zambia. These women no longer have to walk long distances to fetch water - and the water is clean and safe. The incidence of sickness and diarrhoea in Chamuka has fallen dramatically. The borehole was funded by the parish of Yatton in the UK which has a partnership link with the Anglican church in Chamuka. The borehole was built, and is maintained, by the people of Chamuka and benefits the whole community.
